dc.description.abstract The aim of this study is to compose an energy balance of bitter vetch and forage pea production during the production season of 2015 in Bingol province of Turkey. The energy input in bitter vetch and forage pea production were calculated as 12579.89 MJ ha(-1) and 14207.01 MJ ha(-1), respectively. The energy output in bitter vetch and forage pea production were calculated as 20565.34 MJ ha(-1) and 35882.60 MJ ha(-1), respectively. Energy efficiency, energy productivity, specific energy and net energy in bitter vetch production were calculated as 1.63, 0.09 kg MJ(-1), 11.75 MJ kg(-1) and 7985.46 MJ ha(-1), respectively. Energy efficiency, energy productivity, specific energy and net energy in forage pea production were calculated as 2.53, 0.14 kg MJ(-1), 7.38 MJ kg(-1) and 21675.59 MJ ha(-1), respectively. tr
