Aka Gündüz’ün Hikâyelerinde Kadın

Abstract

1884’te dünyaya gelen Aka Gündüz, romandan hikâyeye, tiyatrodan şiire pek çok türde eserler vermiştir. Yazar, içinde yaşadığı toplumun tarihi dönemeçlerine şahitlik etmiş, eserlerinde bu sosyal değişimlere sıklıkla yer vermiştir. Gündüz’ün ilk dönem hikâyelerinde (1909-1914) milli şuur teması ağırlıktadır. Yazarın ikinci dönem (1914-1923) öyküleri bu zamanı kapsar. Gündüz’ün Anadolu’yu konu alan öykülerinde mizahi bir anlatım vardır. Yazar, Anadolu’daki günlük yaşamı, sosyal meseleleri, ekonomik sorunları öykülerinde ele alır. Aka Gündüz’ün öykücülüğündeki üçüncü dönem olan Cumhuriyet sonrası (1923-1949) öykülerindeyse toplumsal konular ağırlıktadır. Aile, kadın, çocuk ve eğitim yazarın bu dönem en sık işlediği konulardandır. Aka Gündüz, son dönem öykülerinde toplum ve aile hayatında kadınların yaşadıklarına, onların sosyal sorunlarına, toplumun ahlak anlayışı altında çoğu zaman ezilmelerine değinir.

Born in 1884, Aka Gündüz has produced works in many fields from novels to stories, from theater to poetry. The author witnessed the historical turns of the society in which he lived, and frequently included these social changes in his work: The theme of national consciousness predominates in Gündüz's early stories (1909-1914). Turkish nationalism is at the center of the author's stories of this period. The author's second period (1914- 1923) stories cover this time. There is a humorous expression in Gündüz's stories about Anatolia. The author deals with the daily life, social issues and economic problems in Anatolia in his storie: In the post-Republic (1923-1949) stories, which is the third period in Aka Gündüz's storytelling, social issues are dominant. Family, women, children and education are the most common topics of this period. In her recent stories, Aka Gündüz talks about the experiences of women in society and family life, their social problems, and their oppression under the morality of the society.
