Powders of some organic compounds (compounds 1-4) were irradiated with Co-60 gamma-rays and the spectroscopic properties of the free radicals formed were investigated at ambient temperature using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) technique. The analysis of the EPR spectra of irradiated powder samples demonstrated that the paramagnetic species produced by the radiation damage was NCH2. The g values of the radicals and the hyperfine structure constants of the free electron with nearby protons and N-14 nucleus were determined. The EPR spectra show that they are of radicals remained unchanged for more than two months. The results were found to be in good agreement with earlier studies on amine radicals.
