Abstract:
This paper examines a sophisticated crisis extended around Egypt after a range of natural disasters and famines in the Middle East. It gave rise to a very great socio-economical crisis and dissolve the historical improvement of Shiite-Fatimids which were acquired an important political position against Sunnite-Abbasids in the second half of 11th century. Firstly it would be studied the background, formation stages and characteristics of the crisis that was broken out in the time of Khalifah al-Mustansir Billah. The Great Disaster described as "al-shiddat al-uzma" was a fact that had directly effects on the Fatimid policy.
