dc.description.abstract |
The excessive rises in energy prices and global warming have led countries on renewable resources. Turkey's (7.5 m/s and higher speed winds) terrestrial wind potential is 37,100 MW while offshore capacity is 10,013 MW. Approximately 75% of the wind potential is located in the Aegean and Marmara district and it offers many advantages such as, these are industrial cities and closed to consumption area, the land is suitable for the installation and all these offers advantages in terms of production and consumption. Turkey is targeted to supplied, 30% of the total energy from the renewable sources by 2023. In the meantime, 20% of the total electricity production is supplied from renewable sources in 2016. Turkey's wind potential and feed in tariff are investigated in a detailed way. In this context, regional and provincial assessable wind potential are discussed and quantitative and visual analyze are made. In addition, the state renewable energy incentive mechanisms are investigated on installation. |
