dc.description.abstract Our objective is to remove inorganic colloids that cause permanent turbidity from water systems, to enhance transparency and to eliminate turbidity by means of using Cryptocoryne walkerii (S c h o t t). Duration dependant changes in nephelometric turbidity (NTU), total biomass and chlorophyll-a, b (chl-a,b) caretonoids variation were evaluated after applications. NTU value decreased in 17.13% in the first application compared to control; while in fourth application, which has a higher turbidity value, it regressed to 19.67%. An analysis on initial and final values of this application group reveals that it eliminated 74.24% of turbidity pursuant to control depending on time. C. walkerii, which we consider as a good biorestorer in restoration of systems with high inorganic turbidity, reduced the initial NTU value from 28.4 to 3.71 and achieved a success of 74.24%. tr
