Objective In this article, we aimed to review the computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of cardiac hydatid disease.
Conclusions Regarding the diagnostic work-up of cardiac hydatid disease, CT and MRI are complimentary techniques. Whereas CT effectively depicts wall calcifications, MRI reveals the exact anatomic location and nature of the internal and external structures and is the technique used for the early diagnosis, assessment, and follow-up of patients with cardiac hydatid disease. |
