Hâricîler, İslam düşünce tarihinin ilk ortaya çıkan oluşumudur. Bu teşekkül, tarihi süreçte önce kendi
içinde gruplara ayrılmış ve bu gruplardan sadece İbâzîler günümüze kadar varlıklarını devam
ettirmişlerdir. Günümüzde varlıklarını devam ettirdikleri yerlerden biri de Cezayir bölgesidir. Bu bölgede
20. yüzyılda yetişen önemli İbâzî âlimlerden biri Muhammed b. Yusuf Ettafeyyiş’tir. İslamî ilimler
konusunda çok yönlü bir âlim olan Ettafeyyiş, bir asra yakın ömrünü bulunduğu bölgede İbâzî mezhebine
âdeta vakfederek ilmî ve sosyal faaliyetler yürütmüştür. Ettafeyyiş hayatı, eserleri, fikirleri ve
sömürgecilerle mücadelesi gibi pek çok alanda, yaşadığı bölgede büyük izler bırakmış bir şahsiyettir. Bu
sebeple Ettafeyyiş, İbâzî mezhebi müntesipleri arasında bir başvuru mercii anlamında kutbü’l-eimme
olarak tanıtılmakta ve çokça referans gösterilmektedir. Müellif hayatının farklı dönemlerinde üç tefsir
yazmış olup kaynaklarda üç yüz kadar eserinin olduğu zikredilmektedir.
Khâridjites are the first emergence of the history of Islamic thought. This sect was divided into groups
within itself in the historical process and only Ibadites continued to exist till today. One of the districts
where they exist today is the Algerian region. In the 20th century, one of the most important of the
Ibadites scholars in this region was Muhammad ibn Yusuf Attafayyish. Attafayyish, a versatile scholar in
the field of Islamic sciences, devoted almost a century to the Ibadite sect in the region that he dwelt and
carried out scientific and social activities. Attafayyish is a character who has left great traces in the region
in many areas such as his life, works, ideas, and his struggle against colonialists. For this reason,
Attafayyish is referred to as the Qutb al-eimme in the sense of a referral authority among the adherents of
the Ibadite sect, and so he is often referred. The author has written three exegeses in different periods of
his life and it is mentioned in the sources that he has penned about three hundred works.
