Kur‟ân-ı kerim‟de birr (iyi‟lik)

Abstract

Ġlâhî dinlerin ortak amacı insanlığın saadetidir. Ġlâhî kitaplar da bu saadetin temini için uyulması gereken emirleri ve yasakları barındıran vahiy ürünü eserlerdir. Kur‟ân-ı Kerim de bu ilâhî kitapların sonuncusu ve evrensel olanıdır. Kur‟ân nazil olduğu dönemde, muhataplarının psiko sosyal ve kültürel durumlarını göz önünde bulundurmuĢtur. Kur‟ân‟ın nazil olduğu dönemde kullandığı dil de muhataplarının anlayacakları bir dildir. “Birr” kavramı cahiliye Araplarının Kur‟ân nazil olmadan önce kullandıkları bir kavramdır. Ancak bu kullanımda ilâhî boyut eksiktir. Kur‟ân ile beraber “birr” kavramı ilâhî bir boyut da kazanmıĢtır. Birr kavramı Kur‟ân‟da itikad, ibadet ve ahlâk konularını kapsayan temel kavramlardan bir tanesidir.

The chief purpose of divine religions is the happiness of human being and the divine books are the divine inspiration products which contain commandments and prohibitions that humans have to obey to ensure this happiness. The Qur‟an, which is universal, is the last one of these books. The Qur‟an took into consideration the psycho-social and cultural characteristics of the people of the period that it emerged. The language of the Qur‟an could be easily understood by the people of the period that it emerged. “The Birr” is the concept which was used by uneducated Arabs before the period that the Qur‟an emerged. Yet, in this usage divine dimension is deficient. “The Birr” concept gained divine dimension with the Qur‟an. “The Birr” is one of the fundamental concepts which contains faith, worship and moral subjects in the Qur‟an
