Kısa film destekli gerçekçi matematik eğitimine dayalı öğrenme sürecindeki öğrenci yaklaşımları

Abstract

Bu araştırmada kısa film destekli matematik öğretiminin matematiği gerçek yaşamla ilişkilendirmeye etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu etkiyi görmek amacı ile iki matematik konusu seçilmiştir. Bunlar yedinci sınıf konusu olan Eşitlik ve Denklemler ve sekizinci sınıf konusu olan Pisagor Bağıntısıdır. Durum çalışması olan araştırma, yedinci sınıfta öğrenim gören 10 öğrenci ve sekizinci sınıfta öğrenim gören 10 öğrenci olmak üzere toplamda 20 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın başında öğrencilerin hazır bulunuşluklarını ölçme amacıyla hazırlanmış olan çalışma yaprakları uygulanmıştır. Daha sonra araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan kısa filmler dersin ilgili bölümünde öğrencilere izletilmiştir. Ders bittikten sonra değerlendirme amaçlı hazırlanan çalışma yaprakları öğrencilere dağıtılmıştır ve öğrenciler günlük yazmaya teşvik edilmiştir. Nitel yöntemlerin kullanıldığı araştırmanın verileri içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda kısa filmlerin matematiği gerçek yaşamla ilişkilendirmede önemli katkılarının olduğu görülmüştür. Kısa filmlerin aynı zamanda ders kazanımlarını kazandırmada etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Matematik konularının gerçek yaşamdaki yerini öğrenmede etkili olan kısa filmlerin matematik derslerinde etkin bir şekilde kullanılması önerilmektedir.

In this study, the effect of short films supported mathematics teaching related to real life was invertigated. Two mathematics subjects were selected to see this effect. These are Equality and Equations, which are the subject of the seventh grade, and Pythagorean Relation, which is the subject of the eighth grade. The research which is a case study was carried out with a total of 20 students; 10 students in the seventh grade and 10 students in the eighth grade. At the beginning of the research, the worksheets prepared to measure the students' readiness were applied. Then the short films prepared by the researcher were shown to the students in the related section of the course. After the end of the course, the worksheets prepared for evaluation were distributed to the students. Finally, students are encouraged to write daily. The data of the research were collected in this way. The data of the research using qualitative methods were analyzed by content analysis method. At the end of the research, it was seen that short films had important contributions in relation to mathematics in daily life. Short films were also found to be effective in gaining the course gains. It is recommended that short films that are effective in learning the place of mathematics subjects in daily life should be used effectively in mathematics lessons.
