Veli eğitimiyle desteklenmiş maddenin değişimi ünitesi öğretimi'nin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına ve tutumlarına etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, veli eğitimi desteğiyle yürütülen 5. Sınıf Maddenin Değişimi Ünitesi öğretiminin öğrencilerin Fen ve Teknoloji dersindeki akademik başarılarına ve tutumlarına etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma yarı deneysel bir çalışma olup; araştırmada ön-test-son-test kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında Adıyaman ili Hürriyet Ortaokulu'nun 5. sınıfında öğrenim gören 30' u deney, 30' u kontrol grubu olmak üzere 60 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı Akademik Başarı Testi, Fen ve Teknoloji dersine yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve Öğrenci Görüşme Formu kullanılmıştır. Uygulanan anketlerin verileri sistematik bir şekilde toplanıp, analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen verilere göre; veli eğitiminin öğrencilerin akademik başarıları üzerinde pozitif bir etkiye sahip olduğu, öğrencilerin hazır bulunuşluk düzeylerini arttırdığı, okul-aile işbirliği ve iletişimini geliştirdiği söylenebilir. Veli eğitimi, okul-aile işbirliği ve iletişimini arttırdığı için öğrencilerin diğer derslerine olumlu katkısı olduğu söylenebilir. Bu durumda fen ve teknoloji dersi ve diğer derslere yönelik verimliliğin artırılması amacıyla veli eğitimiyle ilgili planlar yapılabileceği ve bunun yanında okul yönetiminde ve aile ilişkilerinde verimliliğin arttırılması için daha fazla kadın yönetici istihdam edici planların uygulamaya konulabileceği önerilmektedir.

This research was done to analyse the effect of teaching the fifth class unit " Change of Matter" that supported by parent education on students' academical success and attitudes in Science and Technology course. The research is a quasi experimental study; in this research experimental figure consisting of pre-test, last-test control group was used. Study group of this research was 60 fifth grade students, 30 of them was the experimental group, the rest was the control group, in 2013-2014 education year at Hürriyet Secondary School in Adıyaman. In the study data collection tool, academic achievement-test, the attitude scale towards science and technology and student interview form were used. The data of the questionnaires was collected systematically and analysed. According to the data obtained from the study; it can be said that parent education has a positive effect on students' academical success and it increases the students' readiness and school-family cooperation. It can be said that parent education has a positive contribution to students' other courses as it increases school-family cooperation and communication. In this cese, it can be suggested that plans about parent education can be done in order to increase the productivity in science and technology and other courses. It is also suggested that plans about employing more manageress can be put into practice in order to increase productivity in school management and family relations.
