Bu çalışmada Murathan Mungan'ın Kırk Oda adlı eseri postmodern unsurlar bakımından incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, modernizm ve postmodernizm terimleri açıklanmış, postmodern eserlerin özellikleri sıralanmıştır. Ayrıca yirminci yüzyılda roman sanatına getirilen bazı önemli kavramlar da incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Kırk Oda'daki öykülerin postmodern özellikleri gösterilmiştir. Öykü kahramanlarının mutsuzluklarının temel sebepleri açıklanmıştır.
In this study, book of Murathan Mungan Forty Rooms was analysed in terms of postmodern
elements. In the first part of the study, explained in terms of modernism and postmodernism,
postmodern works listed properties. In addition, some important concepts brought to art of the
novel in the twentieth century were analysed.
In the second part, postmodern features of the stories in the Forty Rooms is shown.
The main reasons for the unhappiness of the heroes in the stories is explained.
