Lale Devri çeşmelerinin karakteristik özellikleri

Abstract

Sultan III. Ahmed’in son on iki yıllık saltanatını ve Nevşehirli Damad İbrahim Paşa’nın da sadrazamlık yıllarını kapsayan Lale Devri, 1718 1730 yılları arasında yaşanmış kısa bir döne mdir. Su mimarisinin revaçta olduğu bu dönemde en dikkati çeken mimari örnekler çeşmeler olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Lale Devri çeşmelerinin karakteristik özellikleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın “Giriş” bölümünde; Lale Devri ve bu dönem çeşmeleri konusunda özet bilgi sunulmuştur. “Lale Devri Çeşmeleri” isimli bölümde; Lale Devri’nde inşa edilmiş çeşmelerden bazıları mimari ve bezeme özellikleri dikkate alınarak tanıtılmıştır. “Değerlendirme” bölümünde; saha çalışması sonrasında tespit edilen çeşmeler kendi içinde değerlendirilerek genellemeler yapılmıştır. “Sonuç” bölümünde ise; Lale Devri bezeme programı içerisinde yer alan hiçbir öğenin batıdan ithal edilmemiş olup Osmanlı Mimarisi’nde hep var olan ancak yaygın bir şekilde kullanılmayan öğeler old uğu tespit edilmiştir.

“The Tulip Age” refers to the period between the years of 1718 1730 and includes the reign of Sultan Ahmed III. and his Grand Vizier Nevşehirli Damad İbrahim Pasha. During the period in which water structures were popular, fountains became the most striking structures. In the “Introduction” chapter; a summary of information about Tulip Period a nd the fountains of this period was presented. In the chapter called as “The Fountains of Tulip Period”; a few of fountains built in the Tulip Period were introduced in terms of their architectural and decorative features. In the “Evaluation” chapter; aft er the field work, the detected fountains were evaluated by comparing with each other. In the “Conclusion”; it was found out that the elements in the decoration program of The Tulip Age have already existed, but not commonly used, in the Ottoman Architec ture; namely, none of these elements have been imported from the West.
